Italy’s Dominik Paris produced a stunning performance to clinch his first career World Cup super-G in Kitzbuehel on Friday.
Two years after his victory in the classic Hahnenkamm downhill on the same course, the 25-year-old made the most of his knowledge of the terrain to edge out local favourite Matthias Mayer.
Meanwhile, France’s Alexis Pinturault dominated the combined event for his eighth victory.
The Olympic bronze-medallist defeated Marcel Hirscher of Austria by 0.69 with Ondrej Bank of the Czech Republic completing the podium.
Norway’s Kjetil Jansrud now trails Hirscher by 182 points in the overall standings.
