NASA’s OSIRIS-REx mission and The Planetary Society have invited Twitter and Instagram users to send images and ideas on the future of space exploration and communication.

Your thoughts about the solar system over the next decade will be sealed in a Sample Return Capsule and sent to the asteroid Bennu. On its return in 2023 the capsule will be opened to see how the predictions have fared.

In addition your name will be on the spacecraft, which will remain in space long after returning the Sample Capsule to earth.

Organisers want you to think about our solar system exploration now and what we may be doing in 2023. Tweet your statement with hashtag #AsteroidMission or tag OSIRIS-REx on Instagram with hashtag #AsteroidMission to share your ideas as a graphic or photo.

Posts can be about science, engineering, technology or other subjects related to space exploration today and in 2023.
