Positions available in Abidjan, Brazzaville and Nairobi

Be part of this very ambitious project and help shape the new pan-African media based on factual reporting, diversity of views and real independence.

Reporting to the Editor in chief you will be in charge of researching information on specific stories and writing, adapting and mixing stories broadcasted on air and on digital platforms.
You will also be responsible for live shots in case of breaking news, conducting interviews and translating interviews included in certain stories or during live broadcasts.

You can be the ONE If you have an extensive experience acquired within a local or international media (TV, radio, print, digital) and:

  • - A Degree in journalism
  • - 5 years minimum experience as a field reporter (stories, stand ups, interviews…)
  • - Expert video editing skills
  • - Excellent general knowledge
  • - Strong awareness of and interest in international politics, sports, economics, life and culture
  • - For specialists, expert knowledge in your field: sports, business or culture

The ideal candidate is an English native speaker with excellent French speaking and writing skills, proactive, with an ability to prioritize and work under shifting deadlines in a fast paced environment.
Geographic mobility throughout the African continent is imperative.

Mother tongue Russian

RUSSIAN native, you live in France and have kept strong relationships with your home land. Reporting directly to the duty editors and the heads of programmes, you will write and mix your stories, in compliance with the editorial guidelines of the channel. You will cover live events and occasionally translate speeches into Russian live on-air. Your on screen experience allows you to go live at any moment.

Having studied journalism, you have a strong experience in the audiovisual sector, an excellent general knowledge and in depth knowledge of international politics, sport, economics, European and cultural issues. You are bilingual English and/or French, while another European language would be an additional asset. You must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in TV journalism.

Able to react quickly, you can also work to tight deadlines, respond appropriately to unexpected developments and deal with the pressure of television news environment. EuroNews broadcasts 24 hours a day, so the job entails weekend and night shifts.
