The former Danish economy minister is now the European Commission’s anti-trust czar.
She has the power to block mergers between major firms, order surprise raids on companies suspected of wrongdoing, and slap huge fines on multinationals.
The 47-year-old is now going after corporate giants who are accused of not paying their fair share of tax.
Since she became the EU’s competition commissioner in November 2014, Vestager has opened investigations into Apple, Starbucks and Fiat.
Euronews correspondent Efi Koutsokosta caught up with Vestager at the European Commission’s headquarters in Brussels.
