Italian Carabinieri officers seized €3.2 million in banknotes during an operation against alleged members of a local crime organisation near Naples.

Footage released by the force shows officers using hammers to break through a wall and uncover hundreds of bundles of cash hidden inside a residence in Caivano.
Anti-mafia prosecutors ordered the arrest of 34 people over alleged drug trafficking, extortion, weapons offences and other crimes. The Carabinieri said the suspects were linked to an armed Camorra-type conspiracy led by the Angelino clan.
