Hundreds of Palestinians gathered in Gaza City for funeral prayers after rescue teams recovered 112 bodies from the site of a November 2023 Israeli air strike on a residential block in the Sabra neighborhood.

Palestinian officials said the strike killed 308 members of the Abu Sharia and al-Hasayna families, including 40 children, when the building collapsed on residents. Around 153 bodies reportedly remain under the rubble.
The recovery, carried out over roughly two weeks by a 40-person team, was made possible by the ceasefire that has allowed crews access to previously unreachable areas.
