Mothers of detained teenagers in Venezuela are protesting outside Tocuyito prison, demanding their children's release and condemning "arbitrary arrests and poor treatment".

Since the post-election protests in Venezuela, mothers of detained teenagers are fighting for their children’s release.

Standing outside Tocuyito prison, they denounce what they call "arbitrary arrests and poor treatment", including spoiled food.

Following the July 28 presidential election, more than 2,000 people have been arrested for protesting against Nicolás Maduro, surpassing previous crackdowns under his regime.
