Emergency workers conducted rescue operations in Czech Republic, following days of heavy rain that caused severe flooding and mass evacuations.

The flooding affected most of the country, with the worst conditions in northeastern regions, including the Jeseniky mountains. Towns and villages were submerged, leaving many areas isolated. Approximately 260,000 households lost power, and major roads, including the D1 highway, were closed. Four people were reported missing after being swept away by floodwaters, according to police.
