An Italian street artist known as Maupal left one of his provocative pieces of art in the centre of Rome early Tuesday morning.

A provocative piece of satirical street art has emerged in Rome showing Italy PM Giuseppe Conte hanging like a gymnast between two rings.

Each ring symbolises a party in the country’s ruling coalition: the League party and the Five Star Movement.

Above his head, a sign reads "#contract", referring to the agreement which the two parties ratified to form a coalition government in 2018.
