UK Foreign Secretary calls out Russian cyberattacks in pointed statement
"We will expose the Russian intelligence service" - the message from British foreign secretary Jeremy Hunt as Britain takes aim at Russia. The UK foreign office is blaming Russian intelligence services for six cyber-attacks in an aggressive statement that directly implicates Vladimir Putin.

Indonesia "chaos" without enough water, food or fuel during quake recovery
Indonesia is limping towards recovery after a major earthquake and tsunami hit the island of Sulawesi, but progress is slow. The official death toll has just risen to one thousand two hundred and thirty four and there are reports of looting and growing chaos in major cities.

Over 800 people are dead and many injured after another Indonesian earthquake. Mass graves have been dug in the worst-hit city of Palu, where the town was also struck by a tsunami. Rescue efforts are still underway and authorities have called for more heavy machinery and volunteers.

Man charged in novichok poisoning named as Colonel Anatoliy Chepiga
One of the suspects in the poisoning of Sergei and Yulia Skripal in Salisbury has been named as a highly-decorated officer in Russia’s military special forces by investigative website Bellingcat. The man previously named as Ruslan Boshirov is said to be in fact Colonel Anatoliy Chepiga.

Moria refugee camp conditions "not meeting the minimum requirements"
