After years of war, battle shock has spread among the people of Afghanistan, but while the physical wounds are visible, the psychological danger is harder to see. Sixty percent of Afghans are suffering mental health problems, the World Health Organisation estimates, and even more of the children. NGOs involved in building up health services in Afghanistan are getting European support.
