Fair and sustainable fine jewellery

Fair and sustainable fine jewellery

Created by the non-profit organization Alliance for Responsible Mining (ARM), the Fairmined Initiative is a label that certifies gold from empowered responsible artisanal and small-scale mining organizations. The standard includes formal and legal mining operations, environmental protection, labor conditions, traceability of Fairmined minerals, and socio-economic development. It seduced many fine jewellery brands worldwide as you can see on this map compiling all the certified fairmined jeweller. From Chopard - which supplies all the celebrities at various red carpet events including Cannes Film Festival - to the confidential Parisian label JEM, the choice for a precious accessory with meaning is vast. Some go even further and commit to sustainable gold. Amalena’s collection is composed of 18-carat eco-gold, which extraction techniques are 100% free from mercury, cyanide or any other harsh chemicals and rely on gravimetric methods instead.
