The road to stardom

In 2007, Bennett took her first steps to fame as a member of The Paradiso Girls, a European spin-off of the US Pussycat Dolls, but the band fell apart three years later without making an impact on the charts.

But solo success soon followed as she guest starred on tracks of various artists and eventually she went global after mixing it up with electronic dance act LMFAO on Party Rock Anthem.

The song became a enormous worldwide hit shortly after its release and a decade ago, still ranked among one of YouTube's most popular videos.

Lauren Bennett is survived by her husband, Kenny, and their six- year-old daughter Harlow.
