Doha hosted the inaugural Franca Fund Gala, bringing together global icons from fashion, film and culture to honor the late Vogue Italia editor Franca Sozzani. Led by Sheikha Al Mayassa and Anna Wintour, guests celebrated Sozzani’s legacy of creativity, diversity and bold advocacy. The event raised over $4 million for the Franca Fund’s work in preventive genomics, supporting early-detection research with Harvard’s Dr. Robert Green. In partnership with M7, Doha also unveiled Threads of Impact, showcasing more than 100 designers from across the MENA region, and underscoring Qatar’s growing role as a global hub for fashion and design.
