Pakhlavon Gulomo and Asilbek Ashrapov, students at the Presidential School in Tashkent, were awarded the prestigious Zayed Sustainability Prize at ADSW 2025 for their project to collect and filter rainwater. The system is designed to provide clean drinking water in areas of Uzbekistan where access is limited, such as Qashqadaryo.

The students say their goal is to create sustainable, locally adapted solutions that serve communities and protect the planet. With big ambitions to unite youth across Uzbekistan through innovation, they’re already working on their next project—one they believe could inspire change far beyond their school.
