The publicity drive for the next installment of the Star Wars franchise has entered warp speed with the news that Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow will take the helm of episode 9.
The film would be the third and final instalment of the latest trilogy. Episode VII is being directed by ‘Star Trek’ director JJ Abrams and Episode VIII will be in the hands of Rian Johnson (Looper).

Spinoff
In a break from the trilogy format, Disney has announced a new standalone feature. Called Rogue One, it will have an all-star cast including Mexican actor Diego Luna as well as Oscar winner Forest Whitaker.
The plot line states that the film will follow rebels as they set out on a mission to steal the plans to the death star.

Theme lands
Disney also announced that Star Wars ‘lands’ will become part of their main theme parks.
