The film would be the third and final instalment of the latest trilogy. Episode VII is being directed by ‘Star Trek’ director JJ Abrams and Episode VIII will be in the hands of Rian Johnson (Looper).

In a break from the trilogy format, Disney has announced a new standalone feature. Called Rogue One, it will have an all-star cast including Mexican actor Diego Luna as well as Oscar winner Forest Whitaker.

The plot line states that the film will follow rebels as they set out on a mission to steal the plans to the death star.
