Qatar’s drive for a cleaner, greener future takes centre stage during Sustainability Week, as communities, schools and businesses come together to showcase innovative projects, volunteer initiatives and national sustainability commitments.

Running from 1 to 8 November, Qatar Sustainability Week is more than a calendar event — it’s a nationwide movement driving real environmental change. From solar energy expansion to mangrove restoration and e-waste recycling, the initiative brings together communities, companies and policymakers to turn sustainability from vision into daily action.

Organised by Earthna, an initiative of Qatar Foundation, and supported by the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, this year’s edition highlights how Qatar is aligning its green efforts with national climate goals, including cutting greenhouse gas emissions by 25% and tripling the share of renewables in its energy mix by 2030.

Across beaches, cities and schools, volunteers are planting, cleaning, innovating and inspiring others to join in. More than 400 activities marked the week, reflecting Qatar’s growing commitment to measurable progress — one rooted in collaboration, not just slogans.

For Qatar, sustainability is no longer an idea for the future — it’s a strategy in motion, taking shape right now.
