‘New Energy – New Economy’ was the theme of this year’s Astana Economic Forum, which brings together world leaders in the fields of economics, politics and science.

More than 4.000 participants from some 100 countries were invited to take part in the 40 panel sessions.

It was a unique opportunity for Kazakhstan to promote its ‘new face’.

“Kazakhstan is becoming a modern country, that enjoys good structural reform, which presents very good opportunities for investors,” said Daniyar Akishev, governor of the National Bank of Kazakhstan.

The 2017 edition, held on June 15th and 16th, was an opportunity for dialogue, discussion and brainstorming on a range of economic issues facing Central Asia and the rest of the world.
