Security services in Poland are on alert after police received information about a possible attack on Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.

A spokesperson for Poland's Ministry of the Interior and Administration announced that a meeting of security service representatives would be held at the headquarters of the Internal Security Agency at 11 am on Sunday to discuss the situation.

Representatives of the police, the State Protection Service, and the Internal Security Agency are expected to take part in the meeting.

Jacek Dobrzyński, the spokesman for the minister responsible for coordinating the special services, told the Polish Press Agency that at this stage he could not provide any detailed information about the meeting.

But he added that the media would be informed should a press briefing be scheduled.
