International officials assess potential venues in Azerbaijan for canoe and rowing competitions, focusing on infrastructure, training and future events while supporting the development of paddle sports.
Several locations in Azerbaijan are being evaluated as potential venues for canoe and rowing competitions and training. International officials reviewed sites including Mingachevir Reservoir, the Kura River and Sugovushan, focusing on technical conditions and infrastructure. The visit also included discussions on attracting events and developing the sport. A cooperation agreement was signed to support training and new disciplines. Officials say improved facilities and growing athlete performance could contribute to future international competitions.
