Palestinian children receive donated food at a distribution centre in Nuseirat, 11 April, 2025

Video. Palestinians wait in line for food at Gaza charity kitchen

Updated:

With aid supplies in the Strip dwindling, some displaced people said that on top of having no income, there are no vegetables, flour or bread.

Crowds of Palestinians lined up for hours in a playground waiting for their share of food being distributed by a charity kitchen in central Gaza.

Those waiting, including many children, stood in front of large pots where charity workers scooped out rice, the day’s only meal, to those anxiously waiting for their share.

Some were seen packing their cooked rice into plastic bags.

Israel has ramped up its offensive in Gaza, trying to pressure Hamas to agree to free hostages, 59 of whom are still being held, more than half of which are dead.

It has imposed a blockade on food, fuel and humanitarian aid entering the enclave that has left civilians facing acute shortages.
