Recent polls show Magyar's TISZA party surpassing Orbán’s FIDESZ party, something that has not happened in nearly two decades. The poll conducted from October 9 to 15 with 1,000 respondents shows for the second consecutive survey that TISZA has overtaken Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s party.
Magyar criticised Orbán for presiding over a “moral and economic crisis.” Meanwhile, Orbán accused the European Union of plotting to install a puppet regime in Hungary. National elections are scheduled for 2026, with TISZA gaining momentum.
