(Reuters) - Europe's leading clubs will not take part in the new 24-team Club World Cup, announced by FIFA on Friday, the European Clubs Association (ECA) said following the decision.

A spokesman for the ECA told Reuters: "ECA clubs will not participate in 2021 Club World Cup and will assess participation in editions of the competition post-2024."
