CERN accelerator to close for upgrades

It was built to deepen our understanding of how the universe came into existence, but now the Large Hadron Collider, the world’s most powerful particle accelerator, is shutting down for upgrades.

To find out why, Good Morning Europe went to the nerve center of operations, the CERN control room in Geneva, to speak with Engineer Mirko Pojer.
