French festival celebrates fancy-dress paragliding

Around 150 pilots from France and beyond soared above the French Alps for a special carnival.
The Icare Cup, one of the biggest delta plane and paragliding festivals, has been held since 1974.
The ‘masquerade contest’ was created in 1987, awarding one pilot with the best costume prize.
