Driverless trucks move a step closer in China

E-commerce giant Suning is testing out driverless trucks in Shanghai.

With a capacity of 40 tonnes the trucks can reach a maximum speed of 80km per hour and while driving at 30km per hour can detect a moving object at 300 metres.

Brake reaction time is 25 milliseconds, much faster than human drivers.
