The West Australia Ballet has partnered with Northern Territory Choreographer Gary Lang

At first it’s an unusual juxtaposition – the clack of indigenous music alongside an Opera score and classical ballet. The show includes sevel ballet dancers and two aboriginal dancers. Aurelien Scannellla, the artistic director if the West Australian Ballet said "For me ballet or dance is one language."

For the first time the West Australia ballet has partnered with an Indigenous choreographer. The result is a forty-minute show about the creation of the milky way.

The show is centered around an old Yolgnu story. The Yolgnu are indigenous people from Australia’s Northern Territory.
