Pets in Madrid don their best outfits to be blessed for Saint Anthony's day

Dozens of pets have received a blessing from a local priest in Madrid during Saint Anthony's day.

Dogs, cats, birds and even guinea pigs were sprayed with holy water in a ritual their owners believe will help keep their pets safe and healthy.

Every January dozens of Catholics in Spain groom their pets with their best outfits to attend a mass in honour of Saint Anthony.
