The fair is one of the biggest in the world and this year's "French touch" did not leave guests disappointed
France played host to this year’s host Frankfurt Book Fair and guests were not disappointed by the event.
Inside they found a giant, inflatable Asterix and a special pavilion created by students from St. Etienne, a town in the southeast of France that is known for its design school.
The “French touch” was evident and went a long way in creating a buzz at the event.
French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel were in attendance to open the fair, one of biggest in the world.
Macron also gave a speech on the subject of Europe and gave a special interview to a German news magazine.
