Hapless driver's attempt to bribe his way out of a ticket backfires
A Russian motorist pulled over in Nantes found himself in hot water after his attempts at bribery were given short shrift.

Stopped by police after committing a string of driving offences in the French city over the weekend, the unnamed motorist sought to escape the situation by offering police officers €20 each to look the other way.
His efforts at corruption backfired however, and he was arrested on the spot and taken to the central police station where he was charged with attempted bribery.
