They may be trivial alongside the responsibility of being the most powerful man in the world, but handshakes are becoming a defining feature of Donald Trump’s presidency.

There has been a steady stream of awkward greetings – most recently with the wife of Poland’s president Andrzej Duda.

We’ve collected the most clumsy handshake moments in the video, below.

Other notable examples have included the excruciating long handshakes with Japan’s prime minister Shinzō Abe and French president Emmanuel Macron.
