A new pool in Lorette, France, has banned vieiled women by adding them on a panel that says, no dogs, alcohol, soccer balls and snorkeling gear.

The rules state that women are only allowed to wear one-piece or two-piece bathing suits in the natural pool and that breaking these rules would mean immediate expulsion.

French video journalist Sylvain Thizy‏ shared an image of the sign to Twitter on June 27. A tweet sharing Thizy’s photo went viral June 27, racking up 1,500 retweets at the time of writing.

Back in 2016, Lorette’s mayor came under fire for posting signs around the city that said that Ramadan festivities must be observed in silence.

Gérard Tardy, Lorette’s mayor, has not shared any message concerning the sign on his social media.
