Manchester United manager José Mourinho has been accused of tax fraud by Spanish prosecutors who are investigating his tenure as the Real Madrid boss.

The Portuguese football coach is accused of defrauding Spain of €3.3m in taxes between 2011 and 2012 by not declaring income from the use of his image rights.

He is one of a number big names connected to Spanish football including Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo to have their tax affairs scrutinised in recent months.

Mourinho is yet to comment, but the Madrid prosecutor says the case has been taken to a local court.
