Russia’s only tractor race, the Bison Track Show, took place in Rostov-on-Don on Sunday, June 4.

Around 15 thousand people turned out to watch 28 drivers compete in the annual event, which took place on a course that included mud, sand, puddles and even fire.

The five-hour race was not for the faint hearted with temperatures in the tractor cabins reaching 50 degrees Celsius.

Some tractors even collided, with one flipping over owing to the uneven terrain, however, no one was hurt during the event.

The event was organised to promote agriculture amongst Russia’s youth.
