Donald Trump is poised to pull out of the Paris climate change deal, according to White House sources.

Officials told AP and other news agencies that the US president was likely to back out of the pledge to limit greenhouse gas emissions agreed by Barack Obama.

The 2015 agreement was backed by 195 of 197 countries in the UN’s climate change group. Nicaragua and Syria abstained.
