Letizia Battaglia vs the Mafia

Over 80 years old Letizia Battaglia is a pioneer of Italian photojournalism. She left her husband and father to throw herself into the life of her city – Palermo. She captured life on the edge, girls, women, the mafia, organised crime…a heroine. Her work is on show at the National Museum of the 21st Century Arts in Rome

Two artists, a unique juxtaposition
