Real Madrid are firmly in the La Liga driving seat heading towards the winter break after coming from behind to draw 11 with Barcelona.

In a bad tempered affair in the Catalan capital Real Madrid skipper Sergio Ramos scored a stoppage-time equaliser to extend his side’s unbeaten start to the season.

Barca were looking good for the win after Luis Suarez’s glancing header from Neymar’s free-kick put them ahead on 53 minutes.

But in stoppage time Ramos pounced onto a Luka Modric free-kick to head home, salvage the draw and keep Real six points clear of the defending champions after 14 games played.

It was Ramos’ fourth career goal in the El Clasico and first on enemy soil since 2007. He has now netted four times this season which is more than any other La Liga defender in all competitions.

While Real are 33 games without defeat Barca have gone three games without a league win.
