Defending Champions Germany got their world cup 2018 qualifiers off to a flying start in Oslo

Bayern Munich striker Thomas Muller scored in each half while Joshua Kimmich struck on the edge of half time as the Meinschaft eased past against Norway.

England were unable to score against Slovakia in the European Championships and it as if like lightning was about to strike twice in Sam Allardyce’s first game as manager.

Adam Lallana scored in the 95th minute to earn a 1-0 win.

Martin Škrtel was sent off for a second yellow-card offence.

Lithuania were held to a 2-2 draw by Slovenia in
Group E while Robert Snodgrass scored a hat trick as Scotland ran five past Malta.
