Manchester City have bolstered their midfield ranks after signing Germany international Leroy Sane from Bundesliga side Schalke.
The 20-year-old has agreed a five year deal and although non financial details were disclosed British media believe City have paid some 37 million pounds – with add-ons the final amount could surpass 45 million pounds.
Sane scored eight goals in 33 Bundesliga appearances last season helping as Schalke finished the campaign in fifth place.
He becomes City’s and new coach Pep Guardiola’s fifth summer signing that also include Nolito from Celta Vigo and Ilkay Gundogan from Borussia Dortmund.
City don’t appear to be putting their checkbooks away just yet as they are also hoping to add England and Everton defender John Stones.
