At least 15 people have been killed by a man wielding a knife at a residential care centre for the disabled in the Japanese city of Sagamihara, which lies just south of Tokyo..

Another 45 people were reportedly injured, 18 seriously.
Local police have arrested a male suspect after he turned himself in.

Staff said the suspect shouted he wanted to rid the world of disabled people.
