Defending champions Chile booked their place in the Copa America final after beating Colombia 2-0 at Soldier Field in Chicago.
Having beaten Mexico 7-0 in their previous game Chile entered the semi-final full of confidence and took only six minutes to stamp their authority on the scoreline.
Former Chelsea midfielder Juan Cuadrado botched a headed clearance into the path of Leverkusen’s Charles Aranguiz who made no mistake from close range.
It wasn’t long before Chile had doubled their lead.
In fact it was just four minutes later.
Alexis Sanchez beat David Ospina but not the post.
Jose Pedro Fuenzalida was there to pick up the rebound and bury his easy shot into an empty net.
Colombia tried their best to claw themselves back into the game but Chile held strong to see out the 2-0 victory, which has set up a repeat of last year’s final with Argentina.
That match takes place at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Sunday a day after Colombia play hosts United States in the third-fourth place game.
