Rachid El Morabity continued his jog towards a third straight title and fourth overall after winning stage three of the Marathon Des Sables in the Moroccan Sahara.

The local man has now won all three of the opening challenges.

He finished the 37.5 kilometre trek ahead of compatriot Abdlekader El Mouaziz for a repeat result from the day before.

It was also the same finishing order for the top two in the women’s race as Russian Natalia Sedykh claimed first and Nathalie Mauclair of France taking second again.
