Italian speed skiers Ivan Origone and Valentina Greggio on Saturday set new men’s and women’s world records at the French Alps resort of Vars.

Origone – the younger brother of disicpline guru Simone – clocked a new world mark of 254.958 Kmph while Greggio beat the 10-year-old women’s world record by reaching 247.083 kmph.
