Four of the US’s five living first ladies were among around one thousand people invited to the funeral of Nancy Reagan, wife of former President Ronald Reagan.
At a time of debate and game-playing in the lead-up to this year’s presidential election, the California ceremony brought together prominent Democrats and Republicans.
Reagan died of congestive heart failure at the age of 94.
Her funeral took place at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California. She was later buried beside her husband, library spokeswoman Melissa Giller said.
