Reigning German champions Bayern Munich have announced that Pep Guardiola is to leave the club at the end of this season and will be replaced by Carlo Ancelotti.
The former Chelsea Boss, who enjoyed successful coaching stints at AC Milan, Real Madrid, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain, signed a three-year deal with the Bavarians.
According to reports, Guardiola made his decision to leave some time ago and informed the club, enabling them to step up their pursuit of Ancelotti, who has been on a break since being sacked by Real Madrid in May.
Guardiola, now strongly linked with a move to Premier League heavyweights Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea, has been a huge success during his spell in Germany, joining Bayern in 2013 and leading the club to two Bundesliga titles, the German Cup and the Club World Cup.
