Russia’s President Vladimir Putin has paid tribute to one of his former aides who’s been found dead in a hotel in Washington DC.

57-year-old Mikhail Lesin is believed to have suffered a heart attack. His family say the former press minister and one-time head of the Gazprom-Media Holding group died on Thursday. Putin says he made an “enormous contribution to Russia’s modern media.”
