The operator of a whale-watching boat which sank off the coast of Canada says there was no opportunity to send a Mayday distress call.

Five Britons were killed and an Australian is missing after the boat capsized near Vancouver Island. A further 21 people were rescued.

An investigation into the incident is underway.
