A volcano has erupted on the remote French island of Reunion in the Indian Ocean, where a piece of what is believed to be missing Malaysia Airlines jet MH370 was found.

The local government have imposed a ban on access to the Piton de la Fournaise volcano, including by helicopter, following the eruption.
