Manchester United have signed Argentina goalkeeper Sergio Romero on a three-year deal.
The future of current Reds number one David de Gea remains uncertain with Real Madrid keen on the 24-year-old.
Romero arrives as a free agent after leaving Sampdoria.
The 28-year-old will replace second choice keeper Victor Valdes, who has been told he can leave the club by boss Louis Van Gaal after refusing to play for the reserves.
Romero becomes United’s fifth summer signing following Matteo Darmian, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Morgan Schneiderlin and Memphis Depay.
