Turkish club Fenerbahce has confirmed Robin van Persie has joined the club from Manchester United on a three year deal.

The Dutchman is set to be presented in Istanbul on Monday after Fenerbahce paid over 6.5 million euros for the striker.

Van Persie had fallen out of favour with Manchester United coach Louis van Gaal after struggling for form and fitness.

The 31-year-old joined the English side from Arsenal in August 2012 and had an impressive debut season, finishing as the Premier League’s top scorer.

Van Persie joins another Manchester United teammate, Nani, who made the move to Fenerbahce earlier this month.
